How We Got Here

Built from the field,
not the boardroom.

René Bos has been in IT since 2004. Over two decades he specialized in virtualization, cloud, and infrastructure, working with some of the world's biggest names: Volvo, British Telecom, VodafoneZiggo, Ericsson, and VMware, where he worked as a senior consultant.

"I watched a ransomware attack take down an entire multinational. Every server gone. Every VM offline. Every file encrypted. An environment I understood inside out, destroyed in hours."

It was a VMware stack. René knew that technology deeply. Watching it fall was the moment that changed everything.

The businesses he had always loved building infrastructure for deserved someone watching over it. Aegix was built to be those eyes, for companies that need enterprise-grade protection but have historically been priced out of it.

Today we operate from Utrecht, Netherlands, with SOC coverage worldwide and a team holding some of the industry's most respected certifications.
